One of the most common things to hear anywhere, whether it be outside or in the comfort of your own home is Backbiting. It is a major sin and a very regular thing. Almost every single time, a person will be backbiting without even realising. The meaning of backbiting is when you speak ill of another. In Islam the Qur’an says that it is comparable to ‘‘eating the flesh of a dead brother.’’ This major sin known as backbiting is extremely disliked in Islam and can ruin the reward and blessings of Hajj and Umrah. Allah says in the Qur’an that ‘‘Whoever conceals the faults of another Muslim, Allah will conceal his own faults in this life and the Hereafter.’’ Hearing the sin being committed is the same as committing the sin yourself. Reminding somebody when they may not be realising, they are committing this sin will grant you a higher status in the sight of Allah and the chance to attain good deeds. The help you give to another person will benefit you greatly and also helps to prevent the backbiter from suffering the loss of their own good deeds if the sin is committee again (so that they remember that this a sin).
Allah and Islam are the most important thing in a Muslims life and the most important thing overall. Now people have the assumption that success in this life is the most important and not Islam. It doesn’t matter about how much you study and educate yourself on things that are not Islam. It is your main focus in life to follow the rules of Islam. A common misconception most people assume that it is difficult to follow this faith although Allah has made it the easiest is could be with verses of the Qur’an and Hadith emphasizing this point. The best thing is to follow the Qur’an and Hadith. ‘Allah does not burden any soul with more than it can bear’. Focusing on studies is not a bad thing but if it will distract you from your faith you need to evade the diversion of you r own faith and beliefs. Worrying about your future in this dunia does not compare to your future in the afterlife. The more hardships you bear the easier your outcome will be for Allah says ‘‘Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient.’’ Any doubts you feel that Allah is not being easy on you, it is just a sign that good times are coming soon. Allah promises the true believers’ forgiveness, Paradise (Jannah), and success in the afterlife. No gift can compare the place that is reserved for you in the afterlife. The way to earn that gift is not difficult but simple, and that way is to follow the Qur’an and the Hadith, believe that Muhammad is the last prophet, and that Allah is the only God and supreme leader. With Allah’s guidance may he lead you to the right path and the gift of Jannah in the eternal afterlife.
